APPROVE and AUTHORIZE the Employment & Human Services Department Director, or
designee, to execute an agreement amendment to accept funding from California
Department of Community Services and Development for Low-Income Home Energy
Assistance and weatherization services to extend the term end date of June 30, 2010 to a
new term January 1, 2009 through September 30, 2010 with no change to the payment limit
of $1,935,504.

Subject:2009-10 Low-Income Housing Energy Assistance Program (LIHEAP) funding amendment
BACKGROUND: (CONT'D)
Program (LIHEAP) and weatherization services from California Department of Community
Services and Development on November 18, 2008. On January 13, 2009 the Board
approved an amendment to extend the term to June 30, 2010. This amendment seeks to
extend the term to September 30, 2010 while all other terms and conditions remain
unchanged.
Approval of this action will allow the continued provision of LIHEAP and weatherization
services to program-eligible households in Contra Costa County.
