HomeMy WebLinkAboutMINUTES - 07272010 - C.63RECOMMENDATION(S): APPROVE and AUTHORIZE the Sheriff-Coroner, or designee, to set the amount for the special tax levy for zones within County Service Area P-6 for Fiscal Year 2010/11, as set forth in Attachment A. FISCAL IMPACT: $1,398,474 cumulative revenue from all zones within County Service Area (CSA) P-6 in fiscal year 2010/11. This amount reflects a 0.9% increase in revenue from the fiscal year 2009/10 cumulative amount of approximately $1,386,000. Revenue from zones within CSA P-6 is adjusted annually based on the June, urban area Consumer Price Index (CPI-U) for the San Francisco Bay Area. BACKGROUND: The above action fixes the special tax rate per parcel in County Service Area (CSA) P-6 Zones as outlined in each zone Ordinance. Due to the significant amount of parcels in CSA P-6 zones, only the cumulative special tax amount is included in the fiscal impact section. Information regarding specific parcel taxes in particular zones is available for inspection in the Sheriff's Fiscal Services unit.
