Approve and authorize the Health Services Director, or his designee, to execute, on behalf
of the County, Contract Amendment Agreement #26-596-5 with Pringl Miller, M.D., a
self-employed individual, effective July 1, 2010, to amend Contract #26-596-4, to increase
the payment limit by $22,500, from $675,000 to a new payment limit of $697,500 with no
change in the original term of August 1, 2009 through July 31, 2011.
FISCAL IMPACT:
This Contract is funded 100% by Enterprise Fund I. No increase in rates. Increase in
Payment Limit is due to a higher volume of surgeries than originally anticipated.
BACKGROUND:
On July 7, 2009, the Board of Supervisors approved Contract #26-596-4 with Pringl Miller,
M.D., for the period from August 1, 2009 through July 31, 2011, for the provision of
general surgery services at Contra Costa Regional Medical Center and Contra Costa Health
Centers.
