Approve and authorize the Health Services Director, or his designee, to execute, on behalf
of the County, Contract #26-244-7 with Sodexo Laundry Services, Inc., a corporation,
effective June 1, 2010, to amend Contract #26-244-6, to increase the payment limit by
$50,099, from $1,800,000 to a new payment limit of $1,850,099 with no change in the
original term of July 1, 2007 through June 30, 2010.
FISCAL IMPACT:
This Contract is funded 100% by Enterprise Fund I. No increase in rates. The Payment
Limit increase is due to higher than anticipated utilization of linen rental services.
BACKGROUND:
On November 7, 2007, the Board of Supervisors approved Contract #26-244-6 with Sodexo
Laundry Services, Inc., for the period from July 1, 2007 through June 30, 2010, for the
provision of linen rental services, including delivery of clean garments and other linen items
and pick-up of soiled linen for the Contra Costa Regional Medical Center and Contra Costa
Health Centers.
