HomeMy WebLinkAboutMINUTES - 07272010 - C.38RECOMMENDATION(S): APPROVE and AUTHORIZE the Conservation and Development Director, or designee, to execute required legal documents to provide $506,000 in Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) funds to Habitat for Humanity East Bay, a California nonprofit public benefit corporation, for the El Rincon project in Bay Point. FISCAL IMPACT: No General Fund impact. CDBG funds are provided to the County on a formula allocation basis through the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD). CFDA# 14.218. BACKGROUND: On May 9, 2006, the Board of Supervisors approved $300,000 in CDBG funds for the El Rincon project. On April 15, 2008, the Board approved an additional $206,000 for a total of $506,000 for this project. Habitat for Humanity East Bay is constructing nine single family homes on a vacant infill site for the El Rinconc project in Bay Point.
