APPROVE and AUTHORIZE the County Administrator, or designee, to accept funding
from the California Arts Council State-Local Partnership Program in the amount of $4,000
for technical assistance projects administered by the Arts and Culture Commission of
Contra Costa County for the period April 19, 2010 through December 31, 2011.
FISCAL IMPACT:
No additional fiscal impact will be incurred by the acceptance of these funds. No County
match is required for the receipt of this funding.
BACKGROUND:
Established by the Board of Supervisors in December 1996 as an official County
commission and the authorized County partner with the California Arts Council, the Arts
and Culture Commission (AC5) first applied for and received funding from the State-Local
Partnership Program in July 1995 for fiscal year 1995-1996. Since that time, the Board of
Supervisors has designated and reaffirmed the Arts and Culture Commission as the
authorized partner of the State-Local Partnership Program of the California Arts Council.

accept funding from the State to enhance art and culture programs in the county.
The California Arts Council, at its April 19, 2010 public meeting, approved technical
assistance funding for grantees in the State-Local Partnership Program. This funding is in
addition to the current grant.
