HomeMy WebLinkAboutMINUTES - 07272010 - C.24RECOMMENDATION(S): ADOPT Resolution No. 2010/384 to approve and authorize the Employment and Human Services Director, or designee, to execute a contract amendment, effective June 15, 2010, with the California Department of Aging to increase the payment limit by $13,687 to a new contract limit payable to County of $322,728 for Health Insurance Counseling and Advocacy Program services with no change in the term of July1, 2009 through June 30, 2010. FISCAL IMPACT: County to receive $322,728, an increase of $13,687, from the California Department of Aging (Agreement No. HI-0910-07). No additional County match. BACKGROUND: Employment and Human Services, Area Agency on Aging, provides Health Insurance Counseling and Advocacy Program services to Medicare beneficiaries, including Medicare beneficiaries by virtue of a disability, and those persons imminent of Medicare eligibility as defined by Welfare and Institutions (W&I) Code sections 9541 (a) and (c) (2) and to the public at large for HICAP community education services under W&I Code sections 9541 APPROVE OTHER RECOMMENDATION OF CNTY ADMINISTRATOR RECOMMENDATION OF BOARD COMMITTEE Action of Board On: 07/27/2010 APPROVED AS RECOMMENDED OTHER Clerks Notes: VOTE OF SUPERVISORS AYE:John Gioia, District I Supervisor Gayle B.
