Staff from the cities and the County, in addition to District III and District V offices have been meeting periodically over the past four months to come to resolution on mitigations. Staff is unsure of the timing of the release of the FEIR. Due to the limited ten-day review time frame afforded an FEIR under the California Environmental Quality Act, staff is seeking prior authorization to have the Chair of the Board of Supervisors sign a letter on the document in order to ensure the County will submit a letter within the comment period. The letter will be developed in consultation with the District III and District V offices and consistent with the results of the aforementioned meetings and with prior comments submitted to the lead agency. The City of Brentwood has submitted a similar letter (attached). CONSEQUENCE OF NEGATIVE ACTION: CHILDREN'S IMPACT STATEMENT: ATTACHMENTS Brentwood Letter to LUHSD
