HomeMy WebLinkAboutMINUTES - 07132010 - C.162RECOMMENDATION(S): APPROVE and AUTHORIZE the Redevelopment Director to execute a contract with Sasaki Associates, Inc., effective July 1, 2010 to June 30, 2011, in the amount of $105,000 to develop a wayfinding program for the Contra Costa Centre Redevelopment Area. FISCAL IMPACT: No general fund money will be used. The contract cost will be paid from FY 2011 Contra Costa Centre Redevelopment Project Area funds. BACKGROUND: The Contra Costa County Redevelopment Agency (“Agency”) is in the process of building improvements to the Contra Costa Centre Redevelopment Area, including a new residential/mixed use transit village at the Pleasant Hill BART Station referred to as “Avalon Walnut Creek”. The project for which Sasaki Associates, Inc. (“Contractor”) is being retained is to develop a wayfinding sign program that will direct motorists, bicyclists and pedestrians to regional locations within the area. Contractor is also to establish a uniform family of sign types suitable for application to future locations.
