HomeMy WebLinkAboutMINUTES - 07132010 - C.130RECOMMENDATION(S): Approve and authorize the Health Services Director, or his designee (Patricia Tanquary), to execute, on behalf of the County, Contract #27–799 with Health Management Systems, Inc., a corporation, including mutual indemnification, in an amount not to exceed $90,000, to provide professional auditing services for the period from May 1, 2010 through April 30, 2011. FISCAL IMPACT: This Contract is funded 100% by Health Plan Member Premiums. BACKGROUND: The 340B Drug Pricing Program has saved the Department over $6,000,000 over the past 2½ years, and continues to decrease the Contra Costa Health Plan’s cost of brand-name drugs by 45%. The Federal Health Resources and Services Administration (HRSA), Office of Pharmacy Affairs mandates 340B Drug Pricing Program audits.
