Dept. of Educ. CCAP Infant Toddler Resource Support agreement FY 2009-2011 BACKGROUND: The California Department of Education regularly releases support funds for contractors that operate Child Development programs across the State. The support contracts typically arrive later in the fiscal year; this year the contract arrived later than usual due to State budget delays. The CCAP 9009 agreement (CCC 39-822-1) funds Infant and Toddler resources for the 2009/10 and 2010/11 fiscal years. Approval of this contract will allow the County to purchase materials in support of the Infant Toddler Child Development program operated by the Community Services Bureau of the Employment & Human Services Department. CCAP 9009 39-822-1 CONSEQUENCE OF NEGATIVE ACTION: CHILDREN'S IMPACT STATEMENT: The Employment & Human Services Department's Community Services Bureau childcare programs support three of Contra Costa County’s community outcomes - Outcome 1: “Children Ready for and Succeeding in School,” Outcome 3: “Families that are Economically Self-sufficient,” and, Outcome 4: “Families that are Safe, Stable, and Nurturing.” These outcomes are achieved by offering comprehensive services, including high quality early childhood education, nutrition, and health services to low-income children throughout Contra Costa County.
