HomeMy WebLinkAboutMINUTES - 07132010 - C.90RECOMMENDATION(S): Approve and authorize the Health Services Director or his designee (Wendel Brunner, M.D.), to accept on behalf of the County, Grant Award #28-818 from John Muir Community Health Alliance, in an amount not to exceed $150,000, for the County’s Public Health Children’s Oral Health Program, Dental Collaborative of Contra Costa, for the period from July 1, 2010 through June 30, 2011. FISCAL IMPACT: Acceptance of this Grant Award will result in an amount of $150,000 of funds from John Muir Community Health Alliance for County’s Public Health Children’s Oral Health Program, Dental Collaborative of Contra Costa. No County match required. These funds will be used to specifically cover the salary and benefits cost of 2.5 full time registered Dental assistants and .4 full time registered dental hygienist. The goal of the Children’s Oral Health Program will be to provide services for elementary school-aged children including dental screening, fluoride and sealants in schools that have 75% or above of the student body enrolled in the Free and Reduced Lunch Program in East and West Contra Costa, including the Monument Corridor in Concord, through June 30, 2011.
