HomeMy WebLinkAboutMINUTES - 07132010 - C.88RECOMMENDATION(S): Approve and authorize the Health Services Director or his designee (Art Lathrop) to accept, on behalf of the County, Grant Award #29-398 from the State Department of Emergency Medical Services Authority to pay the County an amount not to exceed $31,122 to implement the California Emergency Medical Services Information System (CEMSIS) EMS Trauma Data Project, for the period from July 1, 2010 through June 30, 2011. FISCAL IMPACT: Approval of this grant will result in an amount not to exceed $31,122 from the State for the County EMS Division to implement the CEMSIS EMS Trauma Data Project, through June 30, 2011. No County Match required. BACKGROUND: The State Emergency Medical Services Authority has agreed to award funds to the County’s EMS Division to participate in the CEMSIS EMS Trauma Data project. This funding is being awarded to local EMS Agencies to enhance their electronic data collection system in order to become CEMSIS compliant.
