This loss of funding will severely curtail law enforcement efforts currently addressing methamphetamine activity. If the application is successful, the 2010 COPS Methamphetamine Grant program will provide up to $200,000 to enable the Sheriff's Office to continue its methamphetamine interdiction efforts. These grant funds will, just as with the State grant funds, pay for the overtime and other expenses related to conducting drug interdiction actions.
