HomeMy WebLinkAboutMINUTES - 07132010 - C.63RECOMMENDATION(S): ADOPT Position Adjustment Resolution number 20809 to add one full-time Collection Enforcement Supervisor (SMTB) position (represented) in the Administrative Services Bureau of the Employment and Human Services Department. FISCAL IMPACT: There will be no increased County cost for this position as these costs were allocated for the collection activity previously performed by the Office of Revenue Collection. The position will be paid 80% by Federal and State funding, and 20% County general fund. BACKGROUND: The Office of Revenue Collection (ORC) is closing by the end of 2010. The work that ORC previously performed will be shifted back to EHSD. This person will also hire subordinate staff to carry out the duties of this new function. CONSEQUENCE OF NEGATIVE ACTION: If this action is not approved, the Department will be unable to comply with federal and state mandates, collect overpayments, and process the volume of work the department anticipates receiving as a result of the closure of the Office of Revenue Collection.
