ADOPT Position Adjustment Resolution No. 20811 to add one (1) Deputy Sheriff (6XWA)
position, at salary level VHX-1688 ($5,451-6,791) in the Office of the Sheriff, Field
Operations Bureau - Investigation Division.
FISCAL IMPACT:
The cost of this action for Fiscal Year 2010-11 is $180,949.82 and 100% Federal funds. The
funding is a combination of grant monies from the ADA Enforcement Team Recovery Act
Program Grant and the Cal-MMET Recovery Grant.
BACKGROUND:
The Contra Costa County Sheriff's Office has traditionally been a participant in local drug
task forces, by providing one (1) or more investigators to each unit. Reductions in the
Sheriff's Office budget have resulted in the necessity to withdraw participation from these
Task Forces for the past several years. This position will be assigned to Central Contra
Costa Narcotics Enforcement Team (CNET) and will coordinate cases particularly involving
