APPOINT Ms. Laurie Ulrick to the member-at-large seat number 19 for the term expiring
September 30, 2011 on the Advisory Council on Aging, as recommended by the
Employment and Human Services Director.
FISCAL IMPACT:
No fiscal impact
BACKGROUND:
The Advisory Council on Aging recommends appointment of the above person to fill this
vacancy on the Council in an effort to bring the Advisory Council to its required number of
active members. Ms. Ulrick applied for membership on the Council February 8, 2010. Her
application was reviewed by Membership Committee and she was interviewed by
Membership Committee on May 19, 2010. She was then approved by the Council’s
Executive Committee on June 2 and by the full Council on June 16, 2010.
Ms. Ulrick has a degree in gerontology, has been a volunteer counselor for a Friendship
