HomeMy WebLinkAboutMINUTES - 06222010 - C.96RECOMMENDATION(S): APPROVE and AUTHORIZE the Employment & Human Services Director, or designee, on behalf of the Workforce Development Board (WDB), to execute an Interagency Agreement with the Housing Authority of Contra Costa County, including modified indemnification language, in an amount not to exceed $374,000 to provide Summer Youth Program payroll and Employer of Record services for youth 14 to 24 years of age for the period July 1, 2010 through October 31, 2010. FISCAL IMPACT: $374,000: 100% Federal funding (50% American Recovery and Reinvestment Act, 45% Community Service Block Grant (CSBG), 5% Workforce Investment Act (WIA) Youth Funds). No County costs. BACKGROUND: The Workforce Development Board of Contra Costa County (WDB) has received ARRA funding from the Department of Labor to implement the Summer Youth Employment Program under the regulations of the Workforce Investment Act.
