HomeMy WebLinkAboutMINUTES - 06222010 - C.66RECOMMENDATION(S): APPROVE and AUTHORIZE the Employment and Human Services Director, or designee, to execute a contract amendment with Brighter Beginnings to increase the payment limit by $230,453 to a new payment limit of $303,808 for Healthy Futures Project services, for the period July 1, 2009 through June 30, 2010. FISCAL IMPACT: $303,808: 14% State Family Preservation; 10% Federal Promoting Safe and Stable Families (CFDA #93.556; 76% Federal American Recovery and Reinvestment Act (CFDA 93.714). BACKGROUND: Brighter Beginnings is the lead and fiscal agent for the Promoting Safe and Stable Families, Healthy Futures Project, a collaborative project in East County. Contractor will partner with faith based and community based organizations to implement a program that will provide a comprehensive, community-=based continuum of services for low-income, at-risk families, children and youth. This amendment adds funding as a result of the American Reinvestment and Recovery Act.
