HomeMy WebLinkAboutMINUTES - 06222010 - C.61RECOMMENDATION(S): APPROVE and AUTHORIZE the Employment and Human Services Director, or designee, to execute a contract with Brighter Beginnings in an amount not to exceed $303,808 to provide Healthy Futures Project services for the period July 1, 2010 through June 30, 2011. FISCAL IMPACT: $303,808: 17% Federal Promoting Safe and Stable Families (CFDA #93.56); 8% State Family Preservation; 75% Federal American Recovery and Reinvestment Act (CFDA #93.714). BACKGROUND: Brighter Beginnings is the lead and fiscal agent for the Promoting Safe and Stable Families, Healthy Futures Project (HFP), a collaborative project in East County. Contractor will partner and collaborate with faith based organizations and community based organizations in the East county to implement HFP to provide a comprehensive, collaborative continuum of services for low-income, at-risk families, children and youth.
