HomeMy WebLinkAboutMINUTES - 06152010 - C.24RECOMMENDATION(S): Approve and authorize the Health Services Director, or his designee (Wendel Brunner, MD), to execute, on behalf of the County, Contract #22–806–17 with Public Health Foundation Enterprises, Inc. (dba PHFE Management Solutions), a non-profit corporation, in an amount not to exceed $803,754, to provide consultation and technical assistance with regard to community health promotion for the Partnership for Public Health (PPH) Program, for the period from July 1, 2010 through June 30, 2011. FISCAL IMPACT: This Contract is funded 27% by Federal Bioterrorism Grant, 13% by California Nutrition Network, 24% by Health Care Interpreter Network Reimbursement, and 36% by budgeted County funds. BACKGROUND: This Contract meets the social needs of County’s population by providing organization services for the West County Health Collaborative, Monument Community Partnership and Bay Point Community Partnership Programs. BACKGROUND: (CONT'D) and public health advocacy training and participation with PPH Program’s Action Plans. On July 7, 2009, the Board of Supervisors approved Contract #22–806–15 (as amended by Contract Amendment Agreement #22–806–16) with Public Health Foundation Enterprises, Inc., for the period from July 1, 2009 through June 30, 2010, for the provision of consultation and technical assistance with regard to community health promotion for the PHP Program. Approval of Contract #22–806–17 will allow the Contractor to continue providing services through June 30, 2011.
