HomeMy WebLinkAboutMINUTES - 06082010 - C.72RECOMMENDATION(S): APPROVE and AUTHORIZE the Employment and Human Services Director, or designee, to execute a contract with Community Violence Solutions, Inc., a non-profit corporation, in an amount not to exceed $110,000 for the continued operation of the Children’s Interview Center for the period July 1, 2010 through June 30, 2011. FISCAL IMPACT: $110,000: 18% County cost - EHSD, Sheriff's Department; 42% Local Law Enforcement Agencies - LEA (all other local police agencies in Contra Costa), 40% Federal Funding (through the County Admin Claim) - CFDA#93-658. BACKGROUND: Community Violence Solutions in collaboration with the Employment and Human Services Department (EHSD), the Sheriff’s Department, and local Law Enforcement Agencies (LEA) operates the multidisciplinary Children’s Interview Center (CIC). CIC provides forensic interviews and/or forensic exams to child victims of sexual abuse.
