HomeMy WebLinkAboutMINUTES - 06082010 - SD.4RECOMMENDATION(S): ADOPT Resolution No. 2010/323 allowing the County to reimburse certain expenditures associated with the build-out of the East Bay Regional Communication System (EBRCS). DIRECT the County Administrator to return to the Board within three-months to provide an update on the status of a proposed bond issuance initiated by the EBRCS Authority to complete the build-out of the EBRCS. FISCAL IMPACT: No fiscal impact associated with this action. This is a non-binding action that would allow the County to reimburse itself for costs associated with the subject project if the Board decides to issue bonds to finance the project at a future date. Both counties have been providing resources through grants and other means to facilitate the development of the new system for several years, commencing in 2004. The EBRCSA is considering the issuance of bonds to finance the remainder of this project ensuring timely completion. The County may wish to participate in the financing of the project. This resolution would fulfill legal requirements to allow the County to reimburse itself with bond proceeds for certain costs incurred prior to a subsequent bond issuance.
