ADOPT Appropriation Adjustment No. 5081 authorizing the transfer of appropriations in
the amount of $12,787 from the General Property (0077) to Minor Building Improvements
(0080) for renovations to offices located at 651 Pine Street, 11th Floor, Martinez.
FISCAL IMPACT:
This action transfers existing appropriations in the amount of $12,787 from the General
Services Department general property operating budget to Budget Unit 0080 Minor
Building Improvements. There is no change in net County cost.
BACKGROUND:
In December of 2009, the Sheriff's Recruiting Division moved from 724 Escobar Street,
Martinez to 651 Pine Street 11th Floor, Martinez. This move is projected to save the Office
of the Sheriff-Coroner $32,725 in rent expense and the General Services Department
$12,787 in occupancy costs. The occupancy cost savings of $12,787 is being transferred to
offset a portion of the renovation cost of the relocation.
