HomeMy WebLinkAboutMINUTES - 05252010 - C.08RECOMMENDATION(S): Adopt Resolution No. 2010/296 recognizing June 1-7, 2010 as National Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) and Automated External Defibrillation (AED) Awareness Week. FISCAL IMPACT: No fiscal impact. BACKGROUND: June 1-7, 2010 is “National Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) and Automated External Defibrillation (AED) Awareness Week.” This resolution will encourage all residents of Contra Costa County to learn critical lifesaving skills such as CPR and AED use, as well as encourage communities to become HeartSafe Communities and businesses and other organizations to provide publicly accessible AEDs. The American Heart Association has set a goal of training 1 million people in CPR during this week. Support this American Heart Association goal and make your community HeartSafe by taking a CPR class. Check cccems.org for a class near you.
