Approve and authorize the Health Services Director, or his designee, to execute, on behalf
of the County, Contract Amendment Agreement #26-515-6 with Nighthawk Radiology
Services, LLC, a limited liability company, effective January 1, 2010, to amend Contract
#26-515 (as amended by Amendment Agreements #26-515-1 through #26-515-6), to
increase the payment limit by $29,000, from $670,000 to a new payment limit of $699,000
with no change in the original term of March 1, 2005 through February 28, 2010.
FISCAL IMPACT:
This Contract is funded 100% by Enterprise Fund I.
BACKGROUND:
On March 1, 2005, the Board of Supervisors approved Contract #26-515 (as amended by
Amendment Agreements #26-515-1 through #26-515-6) with Nighthawk Radiology
Services LLC, for the period from March 1, 2005 through February 28, 2010, for the
provision of teleradiology services at Contra Costa Regional Medical Center and Contra
Costa Health Centers.

the time of negotiations, the payment limited was based upon target levels of utilization.
However, the utilization was actually higher than originally anticipated. The Department is
requesting approval of Contract Amendment Agreement #26-515-8 to allow the Contractor
to provide additional teleradiology services, through February 28, 2010. This request was
approved by County Administrator’s office for processing.
