CHILDREN'S IMPACT STATEMENT:
Many of the early literacy skills require parents to interact with their children by singing,
playing, talking, and creating. By providing books and information, the library can assist
parents in helping their children develop these early literacy skills. The “Books ‘n Bop”
programs offer an occasion for parents to talk and play with their child, and thus practice
some of the early literacy skills. This program supports the community outcomes of
Children Ready for and Succeeding in School.
