Adopt Resolution No. 2010/235 recognizing May 16th-22nd as National Emergency
Medical Services Week.

BACKGROUND:
May 16-22, 2010 is National Emergency Medical Services Week, with the theme of
“ANYTIME. ANYWHERE. WE’LL BE THERE.“ This resolution will honor local EMS
responders (emergency medical technicians, paramedics, police, firefighters, emergency
nurses, emergency physicians, emergency medical dispatchers, EMS educators, EMS
administrators and others) as well as raise public awareness concerning health and safety
issues.
