ADOPT Resolution No. 2010/283 to amend Section 12 of the Memorandum of
Understanding between Contra Costa County and SEIU Local1021 Service Line
Supervisors Unit adopted by the Board of Supervisors on January 19, 2010 (Resolution No.
2010/46), so that the third sentence adds the words "compensatory time or" to Section
12.4.A. The sentence should read as follows: "The employee is also entitled to receive eight
(8) hours of flexible compensatory time or pay, at the rate of 1.0 times his/her base rate of
pay, in recognition of his/her regularly scheduled day off."

BACKGROUND:
On January 19, 2010, the Board of Supervisors adopted the Memorandum of Understanding
between Contra Costa County and SEIU Local1021 Service Line Supervisors Unit. Since
that adoption, it was noted that there should have been an option to choose flexible
compensatory time or flexible pay. The words "compensatory time or" were added to the
third sentence in Section 12.4.A.
