HomeMy WebLinkAboutMINUTES - 05112010 - C.54RECOMMENDATION(S): APPROVE and AUTHORIZE the Department of Conservation and Development Director, or designee, to execute Contract #C45280 with Environmental Science Associates, ESA, for the preparation of an environmental impact report. The contract will be effective from May 12, 2010 to June 30, 2011 with an amount not to exceed $204,789. This contract includes modification to the indemnification clause, as reviewed and approved by County Counsel. FISCAL IMPACT: The cost is covered by revenue to be received from Shell Martinez Refinery. BACKGROUND: The Contra Costa County Department of Conservation and Development is the lead agency for the environmental review of the proposed Shell Crude Storage Replacement Project Land Use Permit. The County is requesting the professional services of ESA to provide environmental review of the proposed project. On March 23, 2010, the Board of Supervisors approved a contract (#C45272) with ESA regarding this project. Subsequent to that approval, ESA requested a modification to the County's standard indemnification clause.
