HomeMy WebLinkAboutMINUTES - 05112010 - C.53RECOMMENDATION(S): APPROVE and AUTHORIZE the Department of Conservation & Development Director, or designee, to execute Contract #45350 with Environmental Science Associates (ESA) effective May 12, 2010, through May 11, 2011, with an amount not to exceed $559,809. This contract includes modification to the indemnification clause, as reviewed and approved by County Counsel. FISCAL IMPACT: No fiscal impact. The cost is covered by revenue (fees) to be received from NextEra Energy Resources. BACKGROUND: The Contra Costa County Department of Conservation & Development (DCD) is processing the land use permit for the proposed Vasco Winds Repowering Project. Under the California Environmental Quality Act, the DCD is the lead agency for the environmental review of the project. The DCD is securing the professional services of ESA to prepare the project's environmental impact report. On March 23, 2010, the Board of Supervisors approved a contract (#C45277) with ESA regarding this project.
