HomeMy WebLinkAboutMINUTES - 05112010 - C.06RECOMMENDATION(S): APPROVE the Green Valley Creek Stream Bank Restoration Project and AUTHORIZE the Chief Engineer, or designee, to advertise the project [DCD-CP#09-99] Project No.: 7520-6B8545, and FIND the project is a California Environmental Quality Act (CEQA), Class 2c Categorical Exemption, pursuant to Article 19, Section 15302(c) of the CEQA Guidelines, and DIRECT the Director of Conservation and Development to file a Notice of Exemption with the County Clerk, and AUTHORIZE the Chief Engineer to arrange for payment of $25 fee to Conservation and Development for processing, and a $50 fee to the County Clerk for filing the Notice of Exemption. Bueren, Public Works Director/Chief Engineer Date:May 11, 2010 Contra Costa County Subject:Approve the Green Valley Creek Stream Bank Restoration Project and advertise the project, FISCAL IMPACT: There is no impact to the County General Fund. This project is funded by Flood Control Zone 3B (100%). BACKGROUND: The project is necessary to restore a failing streambank that is threatening private property (APN 202-010-017). CONSEQUENCE OF NEGATIVE ACTION: Delay in approving the project will result in a delay of restoration activities, possible continued erosion of private property, and may jeopardize funding.
