HomeMy WebLinkAboutMINUTES - 05112010 - C.05RECOMMENDATION(S): APPROVE the geotechnical investigation for the Wildcat and San Pablo Creeks FEMA Levee Recertification Project, Project No. 7527-6D8618 (CP#10-20), and FIND the project is a California Environmental Quality Act (CEQA), Class 6 Categorical Exemption, pursuant to Article 19, Section 15306. of the CEQA Guidelines, and DIRECT the Director of Conservation and Development to file a Notice of Exemption with the County Clerk, and AUTHORIZE the Chief Engineer to arrange for payment of $25 fee to Conservation and Development for processing, and a $50 fee to the County Clerk for filing the Notice of Exemption. FISCAL IMPACT: There is no impact to the County General Fund. This project is funded by Flood Control District Zone 7 Funds (100%). Recertification will avoid burdening a disadvantaged community with costs associated with purchasing flood insurance. CONSEQUENCE OF NEGATIVE ACTION: Delay in approving the project will delay recertification of the levees and require residents of an already disadvantaged community to purchase flood insurance.
