HomeMy WebLinkAboutMINUTES - 04272010 - C.50RECOMMENDATION(S): Approve and authorize the Health Services Director, or his designee (Donna Wigand) to execute on behalf of the County, Contract Amendment Agreement #24-950-63(8) with Touchstone Counseling Services, Inc., a non-profit corporation, effective April 1, 2010, to amend Contract #24-950-63(6) [as amended by Contract Amendment Agreement #24-950-63(7)], to increase the payment limit by $35,000, from $190,000 to a new payment limit of $225,000, with no change in the original term of July 1, 2008 through June 30, 2010. FISCAL IMPACT: This Contract is funded 100% by Medi-Cal Funds, offset 50% State and 50% Federal. BACKGROUND: In October 2008, the County Administrator approved and the Purchasing Services Manager executed Contract #24 950 63(6) [as amended by Contract Amendment Agreement #24-950-63(7)] with Touchstone Counseling Services, Inc., for the period from July 1, 2008 through June 30, 2010, to provide Medi-Cal specialty mental health services. BACKGROUND: (CONT'D) limit was based on target levels of utilization. However, the utilization during the term of the agreement was higher than originally anticipated. Approval of Contract Amendment Agreement #24 950 63(8) will allow the Contractor to provide additional services through June 30, 2010.
