HomeMy WebLinkAboutMINUTES - 04272010 - C.44RECOMMENDATION(S): Approve and authorize the Health Services Director, or his designee, to execute, on behalf of the County, Contract #23-469 with Vision Consulting, LLC, a limited liability company, in an amount not to exceed $200,000, to provide professional consultation and technical assistance with regard to project analysis and implementation of Contra Costa Regional Medical Center and Contra Costa Health Centers clinical applications, for the period from May 1, 2010 through April 30, 2011. FISCAL IMPACT: This Contract is funded 100% by Enterprise Fund I. BACKGROUND: Over the next two years, CCRMC will implement an electronic medical records system which will allow nursing staff to electronically document a patient’s care and verify a patient’s medications at the bedside, thereby increasing patient safety. Under Contract #23 469, the Contractor will consult with the Health Services Director or the Department’s Information System Director with regard to planning and implementing “best practices” for the County’s Hospital clinical applications. Contractor’s activities shall include, but are not limited to interviewing clinical, administrative and Information Systems (IS) staff to determine the best approach for meeting the objectives of Health Services Department’s clinical IS, through April 30, 2011.
