HomeMy WebLinkAboutMINUTES - 04272010 - C.35RECOMMENDATION(S): Approve and authorize the Health Services Director, or his designee (Wendel Brunner, M.D.), to execute, on behalf of the County, Agreement #28-700-11 (State #EPO P4-08) with the California Department of Public Health, to pay the County an amount not to exceed $1,259,862 for the Public Health Emergency Preparedness Comprehensive Program, Public Health Emergency Response (PHER) H1N1, Phase four (4), for the period from March 1, 2010 through July 30, 2010. FISCAL IMPACT: Approval of this Agreement will result in $1,259,862 of funding for the Public Health Emergency Preparedness Response H1N1 Program. No County funds are required. The County Public Health Division was recently notified by the California Department of Public Health of additional funds to be used to respond to Phase four (4) of the H1N1 pandemic flu outbreak in Contra Costa County. Approval of this Agreement #28-700-11 will provide funds for the PHER, to address gaps in capabilities for the H1N1 mass vaccination program and support activities related to implementation of the mass vaccination program, through July 30, 2010.
