Adopt Resolution #20788, to add one (1) full-time Exempt Medical Staff Physician (VPW9)
position at salary level 1P2 2220 ($9,915.82-$14,010.79) in the Health Services
Department.
FISCAL IMPACT:
Upon approval, this action will result in a cost of $256,177.52 and will be entirely offset by
the reduction of contract employee usage in the Emergency Department at Contra Costa
Regional Medical Center. This action will result in no net County cost.
BACKGROUND:
The Department is requesting to add one position in order to meet the staffing/operational
needs of the Emergency Department. The position will be responsible for evaluating and
treating patients admitted to the Emergency Department, ordering appropriate diagnostic
tests, and determining the need for hospitalization.
