HomeMy WebLinkAboutMINUTES - 04202010 - C.24RECOMMENDATION(S): Adopt Position Adjustment Resolution Number 20785 to increase the hours of four Exempt Medical Staff Physician (VPW9) positions at salary level 1P2 2220 ($9,915.82 - $14,010.79), Position# 8605 from 5/40 to 20/40, Position #8235 from 3/40 to 20/40, Position #8608 from 1/40 to 20/40; and Position #9487 from 1/40 to 20/40 in the Health Services Department. FISCAL IMPACT: Upon approval, this action will result in a cost of $486,749.84 and will be entirely offset by the decrease in speciality contract usage, a decrease in clinic overtime use, and FQHC revenue associated with the volume increase. This action will result in no net County cost. BACKGROUND: The Department is requesting to increase the hours of four Exempt Medical Staff Physician positions in order to meet the staffing/operational needs of the Family Practice clinics in the Health Services Department. The increase in hours will allow for a decrease in speciality contract usage, a decrease in clinic overtime use, and a decrease in patients' waiting time.
