ADOPT Traffic Resolution No. 2010/4311 on the proposed application of the California
Vehicle Code to all roads within the Lakeshore Development, as recommended by the
Public Works Director, Discovery Bay area.
FISCAL IMPACT:
There is no fiscal impact to the general fund.
BACKGROUND:
The roads within the Lakeshore Development are private roads within a gated community.
Currently, local authorities cannot enforce the Calfornia Vehicle Code on these private
roads. The Lakeshore Residential Owners Association requested that the California Vehicle
Code be applied to the roads within their development.
CONSEQUENCE OF NEGATIVE ACTION:
Local authorities' would be unable to enforce the California Vehicle Code on these private
roads.
