HomeMy WebLinkAboutMINUTES - 03232010 - C.109RECOMMENDATION(S): Approve and authorize the Health Services Director, or his designee, to execute, on behalf of the County, Agreement #26-338-13 with American Red Cross Blood Services, a non-profit Corporation, to provide total blood and blood component products and associated services as needed for patients at the Contra Costa Regional Medical Center in an amount not to exceed $90,000 for the period from January 1, 2010 through December 31, 2012. FISCAL IMPACT: 100% funded by Enterprise I Funds. Cost to the County depends upon utilization. As appropriate, patients and/or third-party payors will be billed for services. Due to lengthy negotiations between the parties, the agreement was not completed in a timely manner. Contractor services were requested and provided in good faith. Approval of Agreement #26-338-13 will allow Contractor to continue to provide blood testing/screening services, through December 31, 2012, including mutual indemnification to hold harmless both parties for any claims arising out of the performance of this Agreement.
