HomeMy WebLinkAboutMINUTES - 03232010 - C.103RECOMMENDATION(S): Approve and authorize the Health Services Director, or his designee, to execute, on behalf of the County, Contract #26-664 with Paul S. Chard, M.D., Ph.D., a self-employed individual, in an amount not to exceed $177,000, for the provision of professional gastroenterology services for patients at Contra Costa Regional Medical Center and Contra Costa Health Centers, for the period from April 1, 2010 through March 31, 2013. FISCAL IMPACT: This Contract is funded by Enterprise Fund I. Cost to the County depends upon utilization. As appropriate, patients and/or third party payors will be billed for services. BACKGROUND: For a number of years, the County has contracted with Medical and Dental Specialists to provide specialized professional services, which are not otherwise available in its hospital and health center.
