HomeMy WebLinkAboutMINUTES - 03232010 - C.74RECOMMENDATION(S): APPROVE and AUTHORIZE the Public Works Director, or designee, to execute a consulting services agreement with Ghirardelli Associates, Inc., effective March 1, 2010 in an amount not to exceed $750,000, to provide professional construction management services for the Vasco Road Safety Improvements Project - Phase 1, for the period March 1, 2010 through March 1, 2012, Brentwood and Byron areas. FISCAL IMPACT: There is no impact to the County General Fund. This project is funded by the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act. BACKGROUND: Construction management services are required for the construction phase of the Vasco Road Safety Improvements Project - Phase 1. Ghirardelli Associates, a small business enterprise, was selected to provide this services after completing a request for qualiifcations solicitation, County Outreach, and interview process. They will assist staff by providing construction inspection, contract administration, and assistant resident engineer services. CONSEQUENCE OF NEGATIVE ACTION: Without Board of Supervisors' approval, this Consulting Services Agreement will not be in effect.
