This proposed amendment decreases the payment limit by $500,000 from the County's California State Preschool Program revenue contract. The same amount is being added to the payment limit of the County's General Childcare and Development program revenue contract. The Department requested this fund transfer based on enrollment trends between the two programs. This is the first year in which the State consolidated several funding streams into these two entities; adjustments to transfer funds between the two revenue streams are allowable during this transition period. The board order to increase the payment limit of the County's General Childcare and Development revenue contract is also scheduled for the March 23, 2010 Board meeting. Approval of the board order will allow the continued provision of full-day preschool services to program eligible families in Contra Costa County.
