Approve and authorize the Health Services Director, or his designee, (Donna Wigand), to
execute, on behalf of the County, Standard (Amendment) Agreement #29-529-1 (#27489A,
1) with the State Department of Rehabilitation, effective March 1, 2010, to amend
Agreement #29-529, to make technical adjustments to the budget with no change in
payment to County in the amount of $306,498 and no change in term July 1, 2009 through
September 30, 2010.
FISCAL IMPACT:
Approval of this Agreement will result in no change in the amount of $306,498 payable to
the County in funding from the State Department of Rehabilitation for fiscal years
2009/2010. No County funds are required.
BACKGROUND:
On November 10, 2009, the Board of Supervisors approved Standard Agreement #29-529
with the State Department of Rehabilitation to fund the vocational rehabilitation of clients to
receive job skills development, career counseling, coaching in job application skills, job
development and placement, and follow-up services through June 30, 2010, including

agreeing to indemnify
BACKGROUND: (CONT'D)
and hold the State harmless for claims arising out of the County’s performance under the
Agreement. The services will continue to be provided at the Contra Costa County Mental
Health (CCCMH) site in Concord. The goal of the CCCMH is to prepare the cooperative
program ARRA/DOR consumers with the skills necessary to secure and maintain
competitive employment in agreement with their Individual Plan for Employment (IPE).
Approval of Standard (Amendment) Agreement #29-529-1 will make technical adjustments
to the budget and allow continuation of vocation rehabilitation services, while all other
terms and conditions remain the same through September 30, 2010.
