HomeMy WebLinkAboutMINUTES - 03232010 - C.56RECOMMENDATION(S): APPROVE and AUTHORIZE the Employment and Human Services Director, or designee, on behalf of the Workforce Development Board, to apply for and accept grant funding from the California Employment Development Department, Bridges to Success Program, American Recovery and Reinvestment Act funding (ARRA) in an amount not to exceed $500,000 for services to 16-18 year old at-risk youth for the period of July 1, 2010 through June 30, 2011. FISCAL IMPACT: County to receive up to $500,000 from California Employment Development Department Bridges to Success Program , 100% State, American Recovery and Reinvestment Act (ARRA) funding. No County match. BACKGROUND: The Bridges to Success Program is a high school drop out prevention program through the Governor's Workforce Investment Act, 15% Discretionary dollars.
