HomeMy WebLinkAboutMINUTES - 03232010 - C.55RECOMMENDATION(S): APPROVE and AUTHORIZE the Sheriff-Coroner, or designee, to apply for and accept the California Emergency Management Agency (Cal-EMA), California Multi-Jurisdictional Methamphetamine Enforcement Team (Cal-MMET) Recovery Act grant in an amount not to exceed $59,235 for the period March 1, 2010 through February 28, 2012. FISCAL IMPACT: $59,235, 100% Federal funds. The Cal-MMET Recovery Act Program is a State pass-through of Federal funding. (CFDA #16.803) BACKGROUND: Cal-EMA, as the State Administrative Agency in California, was awarded a total of $135,641,045 under the 2009 Recovery Justice Assistance Grant Program. Of this amount, $4,500,000 has been allocated to the California Multi-Jurisdictional Methamphetamine Enforcement Team (Cal-MMET) Program. The total allocation provided to the Contra Costa County Office of the Sheriff by the U. S. Department of Justice and sub-granted through the State of California is $59,235.
