APPOINT Richard Clark as the County Planning Commission representative to
TRANSPAC, the Regional Transportation Planning Committee for central Contra Costa
County, as recommended by the County Planning Commission.
FISCAL IMPACT:
None.
BACKGROUND:
The TRANSPAC Committee provides the forum for cooperative multi-jurisdictional
transportation planning in central Contra Costa County. TRANSPAC Committee member
agencies include Clayton, Concord, Martinez, Pleasant Hill, Walnut Creek and the County.
All cities and the County must participate in these forums to be eligible for their
return-to-source allocations under the local transportation sales tax program (Measure J).
The Board of Supervisors appoints two people to TRANSPAC -- a member of the Board of
Supervisors, and a member of the County Planning Commission.
The previous Planning Commission appointee to TRANSPAC, Michael Murray, is no
