3. RE-APPOINT David Thayer (address on file) to the Consumer of Any Age Seat 4 on the
In-Home Supportive Services Public Authority Advisory Committee to a new term ending
March 6, 2014, as recommended by the Internal Operations Committee.

Subject:APPOINTMENTS TO THE IN-HOME SUPPORTIVE SERVICES (IHSS) PUBLIC AUTHORITY
ADVISORY COMMITTEE
BACKGROUND:
The Board of Supervisors established the In-Home Supportive Services (IHSS) Public
Authority Advisory Committee in March 1998. In April 1999, the Board of Supervisors
accepted and approved the IHSS Public Authority Implementation Team Findings and
Recommendations, including recommendations regarding Advisory Committee membership
criteria. In March 2001, the Board approved amendments to the membership criteria.
As amended, the Advisory Committee consists of 11 members: 4 Consumers aged 60 or
older, 2 Consumers aged under 60, and one member from each Supervisorial District.
Terms of appointment are four years.
At its March 1 meeting, the Internal Operations Committee reviewed and approved the
Advisory Committee's nomination to re-appoint the following individuals:
