Approve and authorize the Health Services Director, or his designee (Donna Wigand) to
execute on behalf of the County, Contract #74–303–2 with Mental Health Consumer
Concerns, Inc., a non-profit corporation, in an amount not to exceed $454,760, to provide
implementation of the Mental Health Services Act (MHSA) Community Services and
Supports Program, for the period from July 1, 2009 through June 30, 2010. This Contract
includes a six-month automatic extension through December 31, 2010, in an amount not to
exceed $227,380.
FISCAL IMPACT:
This Contract is funded 100% by State MHSA (Prop 63).
BACKGROUND:
This Contract meets the social needs of County’s population in that it provides
implementation of MHSA Community Services and Supports Program, including providing
community-based services, personal services coordination, medication support, crisis
intervention, and other mental health services to eligible adult clients in Contra Costa
County.

BACKGROUND: (CONT'D)
July 22, 2008 the Board of Supervisors approved Contract #74 303-1 with Mental Health
Consumer Concerns of Alameda County, Inc., for the period April 1, 2008 through June 30,
2009, to provide implementation of the Mental Health Services Act (MHSA) Community
Services and Supports Program.
Approval of Novation Contract #74-303-2 replaces the automatic extension under the prior
Contract and allows the Contractor to continue providing services through December 31,
2010 in an amount not to exceed $227,380.
