HomeMy WebLinkAboutMINUTES - 03092010 - C.26RECOMMENDATION(S):
ADOPT Position Adjustment Resolution No. 20780 to cancel one Account Clerk-Advanced
Level (represented) and add one Accounting Technician (represented) in the Administrative
Services Division of the General Services Department.
FISCAL IMPACT:
These actions will result in an annual net savings of salary and benefit costs of
approximately $9,648, as part of the net savings to further reduce Department overhead
costs. An Accountant II position will be flexibly downgraded to an Accountant I position
when the position is vacated March 29, 2010.
BACKGROUND:
The Account Clerk-Advanced Level position was vacated on December 18, 2009 due to the
death of a long-term employee. The work assignments for this position have been evaluated
and it has been determined that additional technical knowledge is needed. Therefore, the
Account Clerk-Advanced Level position is being canceled and an Accounting Technician
position is being added.
